99-110: Cardinal Wolsey serves as an example for vice and pride in politics. He gained power and prestige based entirely on his title; he carried the power of state and religion in his words and his actions. His rise in influence peaked however, and when he was not able to carry out the King's wishes for a divorce, no amount of supposed authority or pride would save him from falling out of favor. He had no way to redeem himself because all of his success came from false advancements.
